History

Since attorneys Chris O’Brien and Steve Boyd formed this law firm, they have always concentrated on one thing: fighting for justice for the survivors of serious injuries and their families.

While they come from very different backgrounds (Mr. O’Brien is the son of a trial attorney, and Mr. Boyd is the first member of his family to earn a college degree), the two partners work together extremely well. In fact, clients often comment on how comfortable they are in the firm’s Amherst office.

In 2000, the two attorneys started in a small storefront office on Main Street in the Village of Snyder, with two support staff members. But it wasn’t long before the firm began growing.

To help establish a presence in the Western New York community, Mr. O’Brien and Mr. Boyd decided that they ”really didn’t want to put out the same type of lawyer ads that everyone else was doing. We wanted the ads to make a difference“, as O’Brien recalls.

So, in 2002, the firm launched a daring campaign, ”We don’t represent drunk drivers. We sue them!". Not only was the slogan different from that of every other law firm, but, as Boyd says, ”it also had a message that reminded people of the dangers of drunk driving, and the damage it can cause.“

O’Brien Boyd has represented hundreds of innocent victims of drunk-driving crashes. The firm handles all types of vehicle collisions, as well as construction injuries, food-poisoning and sexual abuse cases, and others.

O’Brien Boyd also has a full-time No-Fault Department, headed by Attorney Dan Morris. Mr. Morris is one of an elite few attorneys in Buffalo who dedicates himself full time to ensure that insurance companies pay the benefits they owe. That means you have a better chance of getting your lost wages reimbursed and your medical bills paid.

Today, six attorneys work out of the offices at 40 North Forest Road in Williamsville, New York. You can schedule a one-hour personal appointment with any of the attorneys at absolutely no charge to you. Just come in, let them review your situation and answer your questions, and then you and your family can take your time and decide if you want to move forward with a claim.
